Testing and Reporting

HTM01-05 and CQC test and reporting

We can provide you with a certificate for your CQC compliance. We will tune your ultrasonic bath to its peak performance, test using aluminium foil and return to you as part of the proof of performance. We visually and electronically test your cleaner including timer function, pipe work, seals and valves.

BioSonic - Ultrasonic cleaner performance test

The performance of the ultrasonic cleaning unit should be tested by using three strips of regular weight (household) aluminium foil.

  • Prepare a fresh tank of cleaning solution according to the manufacturer's directions. Run the unit for 5 - 15 minutes to degas the solution. This degassing will eliminate any air found in fresh solution. Turn off the unit.
  • Prepare a fresh tank of cleaning solution according to the manufacturer's directions. Run the unit for 5 - 15 minutes to degas the solution. This degassing will eliminate any air found in fresh solution. Turn off the unit.
  • Using 3 rods, suspend 3 pieces of foil in the solution, making sure the edge of the foil is approximately 1/4? from the bottom and sides of the tank (Figure A). Note: The aluminium foil should not come in contact with the bottom or sides of the tank.
  • Turn unit on and run the unit for 5 minutes (Figure B). Lift the foil out of the solution. An ultrasonic cleaner that is working properly will leave a pitted/wrinkled pattern. Holes should be observed in 1 or more of the aluminium foil pieces (Figure C).
  • Contact your dealer for service if needed.
  • Date the foil and keep as a reference for the next time this test is performed.
